Lokomotiv Moscow manager, Yury Semin had taken time to analyze Super Eagles’ Brian Idowu’s display in the 3-0 away loss to Galatasaray in their Champions League opener on Tuesday evening.
Idowu, who has not featured for the Russian club in any of their first seven league games this term, made a surprise start at the Türk Telekom Stadyumu, featuring in left back.
Semin was not too displeased with the performance of the Nigerian on his first Champions League appearance, he felt the scoreline was not just fair.
“How can you be satisfied after 0: 3?
“The result determines. Idowu played well. He came out in his position. Nothing unexpected.
“Three central defenders are also in their places. The scheme? If you lose 0: 3, then the scheme did not justify itself,” Semin told Lokomotiv’s official website post-match.
