Super Eagles full back Zaidu Sanusi was in action for his club FC Porto during Portuguese cup second leg semi-final 3-2 win over Famalicao on Thursday.

The full back started the from the bench with coach Sergio Conceciao playing Brazilian Windell from the start.

The Nigerian however got his chance to impress in the extra time, with nothing to separate both side in over 180 minutes (across both legs).

Zaidu’s introduction gave Porto the edge during the extra time of the closely contested second leg tie at the Estadio Dragao.

In 30 minutes, the 26-year-old won two tackles, played in three dangerous crosses and completed twelve forward passes.

FC Porto, however, scored twice in the extra time (Otávio 120+1 and Evanilson 120+4) to win 3-2 and advanced to the final 5-3 on aggregate.

Porto will now face Sporting Braga in the final slated for June 4.
