Zaidu Sanusi’s FC Porto edging closer to a UCL round of 16 place

Zaidu Sanusi’ FC Porto are edging closer to the UEFA Champions League round of 16 after holding AC Milan to a 1-1 draw at San Siro on Wednesday.

The point boosts their chances picking the second round of 16 tickets in Group B, after Liverpool.

Sanusi was in action for the entire duration of the match and he put in a great shift in the defense for the Portuguese giants.

Porto went in front after six minutes when Marko Grujic disposed Ismael Bennacer and set up Luis Diaz, who beat goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu from close range.

Milan grabbed the equaliser on the 61st, no thanks to own goal from Porto’s defender Chancel Mbemba.

Zlatan brahimovic thought he had won the tie for Milan when he found the back of the net on 83 minute, but Theo Hernandez was already offside when providing the assist.

The draw lift Porto to second on five points while Milan remain rooted in bottom with just one point.

Liverpool won the group with 12 points, while Atletico Madrid slipped to third following their 2-0 defeat at Anfield.
