Zaidu Sanusi’s FC Porto have been eliminated from this season’s UEFA Champions League, despite beating Chelsea 1-0 in Seville on Tuesday.
The Super Eagles full-back saw action for 90 minutes and passed his test against Mason Mount and other Chelsea attackers.
Sanusi and his defensive partners managed to remain solid at the back as they recorded their sixth clean sheets in the competition, but they were led down by the attackers who had no shot on target in the first 45 minutes.
FC Porto’s Mehdi Taremi scored the only goal of the game in the 94th minutes, but it was too late as Chelsea held on for a place in the last four.
The Sergio Conceicao-led team lost the game 2-1 on aggregate, haven suffered a 2-0 defeat in the first leg last week.
