Zesco United snaps up Wasiu Jimoh from Kwara United

Kwara United’s forward Wasiu Jimoh is on the verge of completing his move to Zambian Premier League giants Zesco United.

The prolific forward is already in Zambia ahead of the move and will undergo his medical, before penning the deal.

The former Lobi Stars man also attracted interest from Tanzanian Giants Simba SC, who officially tabled an offer for him last week.

But the player opted for Zesco United who offered him a two and half years contract.

Jimoh scored 3 goals in 4 games in the CAF Confederations Cup for the Afonja Warriors before their elimination at the hands of RS Berkane.

His exit is a big blow Kwara United’s ambitions for the 2022/2023 NPFL season.
