Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze was in action for Villarreal in their Europa League round of 16 away win over Dynamo Kiev at the Stadion NSK Olimpiyskiy on Thursday.
Chukwueze started in Villarreal’s front three along with Paco Alcacer and two assist hero Gerardo Moreno.
The young winger gave very good account of himself but was unable to get on the scoresheet before he was substituted in the 84th minute.
Two goals from Spanish centre-back Pau Torres and Raul Albiol delivered the goods for Unai Emery’s side on the night.
Pau Torres scored the opener in the 30th minute, while Raul Albiol added the second goal in the second half. Both goal was assisted by Gerardo Moreno
The result puts Villarreal in a strong position for the return leg, which will take place at La Ceramica on Thursday 18 March.
