In a chat with brila.net from his base in Austria, Obasi who also made a name for himself playing for Nigeria at the same level admitted the Flying Eagles are in difficult situations, but it’s important for them to keep believing and hope for the best.

“You don’t know what is going on in their mind in this kind of situations and I don’t think any footballer go into a game to lose, but all I can say is that they should keep their head up and continue working hard because, in every loss, there is always a lesson to learn.” He told brila.net.

“They have to reflect and see what they did wrong and what they can improve on because there is always another chance, but it is difficult when you have to leave it for another team to decide. ”

“As it is, it’s not in their hand anymore, all they can just do is hope and I wish them all the best. ” Obasi concluded.

A win for Ghana is good enough to send Nigeria to the semi-final, but a draw or a win for Ivory Coast will send the eight-time African champions parking from the championship, which also serves as the qualification for the 2021 CAF U20 African Cup of Nations.
