Abia Warriors assistant coach Willy Udube said he is happy with the progress the team has made in recent weeks.
Warriors are currently participating in pre season tournament ahead of the 2020-2021 Nigeria professional football league campaign.
The Coach Imama Amapakabo tutored team played out a goalless result with star-studded CAF Champions League campaigners Plateau United on Monday.
Udube however said the team is work in progress and they are beginning to take proper shape before the league starts proper.
“The team is work in progress and we are getting there gradually.
“We have identified that position has problem and we are trying to get some new legs to fill up that position.”
The Ochendo Babes played well in the middle of the pack with tactically sound defenders and midfielders but attackers seems not to have the accurate final touches that lead to goals.
“We played against a top NPFL side that is technically and tactically disciplined. When you meet such we can call it survival of the fittest and remember they are one of the representatives of Nigeria in CAF Champions League,” He said.
