The 2022-23 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) could kick off on December 1.

According to reports, the Interim Management Committee picked the December 1st date so that the NPFL calendar can align with Europe.

The league could be an abridged format and is expected to be concluded in May 2023.

The IMC also met with Media operators to discuss the possibility of broadcasting the league.

Rivers United won the NPFL title last season with Plateau United and Remo Stars finishing second and third respectively.
