7 Foreign-based Super Eagles stars to miss Liberia friendly

Up to Seven foreign-based Super Eagles players will miss the International friendly match against the Lone Stars of Liberia in Monrovia on Tuesday. 

 

Francis Uzoho, Brian Idowu, Leon Balogun, Kenneth Omeruo, Ahmed Musa, Ogenyi Onazi and Odion Ighalo who featured in the 3-0 win over Seychelles on Saturday will miss the friendly encounter.

 

The NFF have invited four NPFL stars in Enyimba skipper Mfon Udoh and Sunday Adetunji, FC Ifeanyi Ubah defender Adeleye Olamilekan and Lobi Stars star Ebube Duru to joined Gernot Rohr side.

 

The 18-man man squad which contains two goalkeepers, five defenders, five midfielders and six forwards.

Goalkeepers: Ikechukwu Ezenwa (Enyimba); Daniel Akpeyi (Chippa United, South Africa)

 

Defenders: Semi Ajayi (Rotherham United, England); Chidozie Awaziem (FC Porto, Portugal); Adeleye Olamilekan (FC IfeanyiUbah); Jamilu Collins (SC Paderborn 07, Germany); Ebube Duru (Lobi Stars)

 

Midfielders: Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City, England); Oghenekaro Etebo (Stoke City FC, England); John Ogu (Hapoel Be’er Sheva, Israel); Kelechi Nwakali (FC Porto, Portugal); Joel Obi (AC Chievo Verona, Italy)

 

Forwards: Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester City, England); Simeon Nwankwo (Crotone FC, Italy); Henry Onyekuru (Galatasaray SK, Turkey); Sunday Adetunji (Enyimba FC); Samuel Kalu (Bordeaux FC, France); Mfon Udoh (Enyimba)
