Aina benched as Torino bow to Milan in San Siro

Super Eagles defender Ola Aina was part of the Torino’s squad that travelled to San Siro to face AC Milan in the Serie A on Friday.

The full back however was a surprise omission from the starting 11, despite his man-of the-match performance against Udinese last weekend.

Aina, who assisted Torino’s winner against Udinese, was overlooked as Coach Ivan Juric preferred his swiss rival Ricardo Rodriguez for the left back role.

Despite the rivalry between him and Rodriguez, Aina has managed to make 12 appearances this season, scoring and assisting once.

Meanwhile, Olivier Giroud’s goal was all that separated both sides after 90 minutes.

The French star rose the highest and flicked in a Theo Hernandez cross to give Milan the first victory in all competition for over a month.
