Rivers United Fc have successfully completed the signing of Morice Chukwu from rivals Akwa United FC.
The deal was completed on Tuesday and the midfield maestro put pen to paper for one year and six months contract with the Pride of Rivers after his medical.
Maurice Chukwu who was in Akwa United’s squad for the weekend goalless draw against Sunshine Stars has been linked with a move away from the club in recent weeks.
Clubs like Lobi Stars and Wikki Tourists showed concrete interest in signing him according to reports but decided to team up with Rivers United after conversations with head coach Stanley Eguma.
