Enyimba Head Coach Usman Abd’Allah has fired a warning to the international players in the club’s ranks stating none will enjoy preferential treatment in the team.
In a chat with brila.net Abd’Allah defended his choice of young goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali for the top of table clash against MFM FC last weekend.
Nwabali was selected ahead of both Ghana international Fatau Dauda, who wasn’t listed for the trip, and Super Eagles goalie Theophilus Afelokhai.
‘Enyimba is fair, we’ll always be fair to the players; we don’t give preference to the national team players.
‘When you get to the national team, it’s an entirely different set up and Enyimba is also a different team, with a different purpose, so you’ve have to figure out how you can fit into the tactics and strategy we have here. It is about who should be between the sticks based on form, and that’s how I pick them.’
