2016 Olympic gold medalist in the 65kg weigh category Paul Kehinde has assured Nigerians that Power lifters will not fall to do their work professionally ahead of the Power lifting world cup billed for next month in Abuja between the 5th and 7th of February.
Kehinde confirmed in a chat with www.brila.net that the athletes have resumed camp and they won’t want to be involved in whatever issues is on ground as per the officials and members of the board.
He stated expressly that the athlete’s job is to train and see ways to win. The competition in Abuja will serve as Olympic qualifiers for para powerlifting at the Olympic games.
“We are in camp and everything is alright now. We can’t put mouth in whatever the board and the officials are fighting for because it’s none of our business. Our own is just to train and go for the competition and win.”
