Guinea-Bissau captain, Braima Nogueira Jorge insists the team is capable of inflicting another defeat on Nigeria when they meet again on Monday.
Guinea-Bissau left the MKO Abiola Stadium with their head high after beating Nigeria 1-0 in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game.
Next for the Djurtus is the return-leg of the tie at the Estadio Septembro 24 on Monday.
Speaking ahead of the game, the captain said, they want to do a double over the Eagles.
“Nigeria is blessed with talented players who are well known all over the world playing for top clubs.
“We scored a goal and defended well to frustrate Nigeria. It is a good win, we want to return home to complete the job,” Jorge said.
Guinea-Bissau top group A with seven points, one more than Super Eagles, after three rounds of matches.
