Gernot Rohr insists the Super Eagles won’t underrate Lesotho when the teams clash at the Teslim Balogun stadium, on Tuesday.
Nigeria, who are three times African champions will engage the East African side in the final Group L game of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The first meeting between both side in November 2019 ended 4-2 in the favor of the Super Eagles and Rohr is aiming to do a double over the opponents.
While Nigeria has booked a spot in next year’s tournament and will finish as Group winners, Lesotho are winless in five round of games.
Speaking ahead of the match, Rohr said one of the aim is to preserve their impressive qualifying records and also wrap up the campaign with a win.
“I hope that we will finish this qualifiers well, since June 2017 we haven’t lost a qualifying match and possibly we finish with a good victory.
“Again we won’t underrate the opponents, they have very good defense and they don’t have anything to lose. So the match will not be easy, but we are for a good fight.”
