Lobi Stars head coach, Eugene Agagbe praised his players despite their defeat to Shooting Stars in an NPFL encounter.

3SC won 2-0 against Lobi, no thanks to goal in each half by Alex Aghahowa and Douglas Achiv at Lekan Salami Stadium.

Agagbe refused to fault the effort of his players, saying it was not just their day.

“I want to thank my boys for the character they showed,” Agagbe said. “Sometimes your game plan won’t go the way you plan as a coach, so today I have to take responsibility for the loss because they have played very well.”

Agagbe stressed further that his team will bounce back when they face Bendel Insurance this weekend.

“We are looking forward to hosting Insurance FC of Benin at Lafia City Stadium. We have put this one aside, and we will get home to prepare for our next tie.”

Lobi Stars are third on the NPFL table three points behind leaders Enugu Rangers.
