Nigeria defender Solomon Agbalaka reiterated that the team’s target is to qualify for the FIFA U20 World Cup, by reaching the semi-finals of the U20 Africa Cup of Nations.

Agbalaka was named MVP after the match, and for the second time in the competition, as Nigeria cruised to a flawless 2-0 win in final Group A game against Mozambique.

Speaking after the game, the defender said :

“I’m happy to be named the Man of the Match for the second time running. It was a good performance and we needed to win and qualify for the quarter-finals of the tournament,” the defender said.

“Our objective is to book a place in the semi-finals which will qualify us to the FIFA U20 World Cup. We played well and scored good goals today (Saturday) so we will keep improving in the matches to come.”

Nigeria will face Uganda, who finished as runner up in Group, with 5points, following Sunday’s draw with South Sudan. The match is scheduled for the Cairo International Stadium.
