Super Eagles goalkeeper Dele Alamapasu made his first start of the season for Ventspils in their 3 – 1 win over FK Spartak in the Latvian Virsliga on Monday.
Alampasu joined the club couple of months back after ending his disappointing five years adventure with the Portuguese side Feirense.
The 23-year-old gave a good account of himself as he made some decent saves to help his team secured the vital away win.
Meanwhile, Alampasu’s compatriots Christian Pyagbara and Kazeem Aderounmu also featured in the game.
20-year-old Aderounmu was introduced from the bench in the second half and the striker was able to get his name on the score sheet.
Aderounmu was making his second appearance of the season for Ventspils, but former Lobi stars player Christian Pyagbara played for 90 minutes.
The victory moves Ventspils to second in the league table.
