Alex Iwobi Surpasses Mikel in Premier League Stats

Super Eagles Midfielder Alex Iwobi, has reached a significant milestone in his Premier League career.

During Fulham’s match against Crystal Palace, Iwobi marked his 250th appearance in the league surpassing former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel.

 

Iwobi now stands as the fourth-highest capped Nigerian player in the history of the Premier League.

Shola Ameobi leads the chart with an impressive 298 games, followed closely by Nwankwo Kanu who made appearances for Arsenal, West Brom and Portsmouth.

Yakubu Aiyegbeni holds the third position with 252 games, while Mikel now occupies the fifth spot with 249 appearances.

Joseph Yobo completes the top six with 228 matches under his belt.

Alex Iwobi previously played for Arsenal, and Everton before joining Fulham.
