Alkali upholds NFF season ending measures for League Football

Chairman of the Nigeria Nationwide League (NLO) Mohammed Alkali has endorsed the measures taken to end the 2019/2020 league football season following Friday’s virtual meeting of the NFF executive committee as well as representatives of the different strata of league football in Nigeria.

Alkali speaking in a chat with brila.net said the measures adopted will be in the overall interest of everyone in the Nigeria football league in the light of the pervasive effect of the Covid-19 pandemic which has grossly disrupted every plan for the season hence the decision to adopt a season-ending measure and start looking at planning for next season.
“What the NFF has adopted is the best interest for football in this country and it will give us an opportunity as well as the club owners to gear up against next season because the pandemic issue has already hit every angle of this country not only in Nigeria but everywhere in the world but by God grace, before September the issue of the pandemic will reduce so that the new season will commence.
