The Supreme Court of Justice in Nigeria has given its verdict on the leadership tussle between incumbent NFF President, Amaju Pinnick and the Amb. Christopher Giwa-led faction.
The Apex Court gave the verdict earlier on Friday on the tussle that has rocked the NFF for the better part of five years by ordering the continuation of the case at the Federal High Court.
While delivering the Supreme Court’s lead judgment on Friday, the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen, held that the Appeal Court was wrong in dismissing the Jos Federal High Court which ordered the continuation of the case.
The Apex Court, however, turned down the Giwa-led board request to hear the suit on its merit as the highest court as it did not meet the conditions required.
The Supreme Court, therefore, ordered that the case be re-listed at the High Court.
