Anjor, Kalu, Others in Contention for July NWPL Player of The Month Award

Bayelsa Queens forward Anjor Mary and Ibom Angels striker Koku Damilola headline the nomination for the July Nigeria Women Premier League player of the month award.

Anjor has enjoyed a good run of form lately as she has registered three goals in her last two games including the brace against newly crowned AITEO Cup Champions Nasarawa Amazons.
Anjor’s former teammate at Osun Babes FC who now plays for Ibom Angels, Koku Damilola is another favourite to win the prestigious award. She was on the scoresheet in the week two encounter against Abia Angels in Uyo.
Other nominees include Osun Babes goalkeeper Ademola Morufat who kept a clean sheet in the first game against Delta Queens before registering over ten saves against FC Robo in Lagos, Grace Marcus of Abia Angels who also scored a brace in the first game of the season against Invincible Angels in Ntigha and Akudo Ogbona has been flawless in defense for Sunshine Queens in their last two fixtures.
