Unai Emery, Laurent Koscielny, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, former player Per Mertesacker, now Academy Manager at Arsenal Academy, and other suited and booted Arsenal stars attended a charity ball to raise money for Arsenal Foundation.

The men’s and women’s teams joined over 300 guests as money was raised through various means with players offering masterclasses and auctioning off pieces of kit.

Arsenal stars turned out in good numbers to support the club’s foundation as Unai Emery’s players pledged to commit £90,000 towards the club causes, over the evening the foundation went on to raise £428,000.

Money raised will help fund many projects the foundation supports locally. Throughout the evening, guests were shown videos which highlighted the important work done by the Arsenal foundation.

A 15-year-old, Syrian refugee named Mohammed, in an Arsenal shirt talked about how he has been helped by the work of the foundation since he left the war-torn country.

Unai Emery who was attending for the first time, wrote on his social media account: ‘My first time at the @arsenal_foundation ball where I could learn more about their amazing projects and how they support young people through football and its values…’
