Nigerian table tennis star, Aruna Quadri has completed a move to Bahrain Saar74 ahead of next season.

Aruna signed for the club following his departure from German side TTCRhönSprudel Fulda-Maberzell, after playing in the Bundesliga for two and half years.

The African number one completed the move to Arabian Championship, alongside teammates Anwar Meki, Hassan Abdul Rahim, Elias Elias and Mortada Hussein.

According to reports, it’s a short term deal with an option for renewal for the former Sporting Lisbon player.

Quadri enjoyed a very successful 2022, winning the African Championship and reaching the semi-final of the Men’s singles at the World Table Tennis (WTT) in Qatar.

The world number 14 player defeated three Chinese players en route to the semi-final in Doha — having gotten past Liu Dingshuo in the round of 32 and Zhao Zihao in the last 16.
