Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem opened up about his experience training under interim coach Finidi George.

Following the NFF’s appointment of the 52-year-old as interim coach for the upcoming international friendlies against Ghana and Mali, Awaziem shed light on the transition in coaching staff.

George, a former player who previously worked alongside former boss Jose Peseiro, brings a wealth of experience to the role.

Awaziem expressed optimism about the team’s performance under Finidi George’s guidance and looks forward to the upcoming matches.

“It has been wonderful, amazing, the atmosphere is quiet good, the weather the condition is good and we are all focused on the friendly games ahead and we are all getting along with our new coach,” Awaziem remarked.

“I think basically he knows everything about the team, he has been part of us, so it is not going to be difficult for him to lead the team.”
