Bad day in the Office for Semi Ajayi, as West Brom suffer 5-1 droubing

West Bromwich Albion coach, Slaven Billic is unhappy with Semi Ajayi and his teammates following their embarrassing defeat to Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Ajayi played all the 90 minute as the Baggies suffered a 5 – 1 defeat at the Hawthorns.

Crystal Palace took the lead in the 8rh minute after Darnell Furlong diverted Wilfred Zaha’s low cross into his own net, but Conor Gallagher equalise with a low shot mpmemt later.

Palace later took control of the match completely after West Brom were reduced to ten with Matheus Pereira the culprit.

Slaven Billic watched in agony as Zaha and Christian Benteke scored twice in the second half to hand the visitors comprehensive win.

In his post match conference, Billic was critical of the performance of his players after Palace scored their second goal.

“I’m not happy with the way we collapsed at 2-1 – you can’t do that – but for us to be competitive and be strong we need all of them on the pitch,” said Bilic.

“After the second goal, especially after the third goal, it became too easy for them. We didn’t mark, everybody was thinking and relying on their team-mate to do the job,” He said.

West Brom became the first team to score an own goal and receive a red card in the first half of a Premier League game since Spurs at West Ham in May 2014, and the first to do so in a home game since Bolton Wanderers vs Leicester in December 2001.

The newly promoted side remain 19th on the table with six points from eleven matche.
