Lower League side Bayelsa United dumped Nigeria professional football league giants Lobi Stars of Makurdi out of Aiteo Cup on Wednesday.
The round of 16 encounters that was played at the Dan Anyian Stadium in Owerri saw Bayelsa United matched into the last eight with a 2-0 victory.

Lobi Stars came into the second half searching for redemption, but Bayelsa United showed determination to keep them away from their goal.
The Kabiru Dogo tutored boys piled the pressure on Bayelsa United, but it couldn’t yield any fruit as the Bayelsans booked their place in the last eight.
Bayelsa United will next meet Gateway United who themselves defeated another premier league team Wikki Tourists of Bauchi.
