Big Names Pull out of Nigeria vs Mexico, Ecuador Friendlies

10 players will have been ruled out of Nigeria’s friendlies against Mexico and Ecuador.

The Nigeria Football Federation announced the new development, Friday, in a statement on its official website.

Musa, as well as goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, defenders Zaidu Sanusi and Abdullahi Shehu, midfielders Oghenekaro Etebo, Azubuike Okechukwu, Alhassan Yusuf and Samson Tijani, and forwards Samuel Chukwueze and Sadiq Umar were unable to make it to the United States as a combination of factors including visa hitches, injuries and career concerns took their toll,” the Statement read in part.

Meanwhile, Cyriel Dessers who featured in the UEFA Europa Conference League final on Wednesday is expected to join the camp.

The Eagles will play against Mexico at the AT&T Stadium at the AT&T on Saturday in the fifth meeting in an exhibition match between teh two National Teams.

On June 2, in New Jersey the Super Eagles will then face Ecuador’s La Tri in another International Friendly match.

Forwards – Moses Simon, Cyriel Dessers, Victor Mbaoma, Ishaq Rafiu, Terem Moffi.
