Former Glasgow Rangers striker Mark Hateley said big clubs could be interested in Calvin Bassey, following his impressive performance this season.
Bassey capped an impressive European campaign with a convincing show in the final of the Europa League against Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday.
Although his team lost, the Nigerian international was arguably one of the best players on the pitch.
Speaking on BBC Scotland’s Sportsound after the final whistle, Hateley commended the 22-year-old’s performance for the Gers.
“Bassey has come so far, so quickly,” Hateley said. “He has established himself as a centre-half, wing-back, full-back.”
“He’s put himself in a place right now where I imagine there’s a lot of clubs looking at him. He’s still only 22-years-old. He has been outstanding,” said the former Gers star.
