Victor Boniface believes Bayer Leverkusen is the ideal club for his growth, despite latest link with Real Madrid.

Boniface is enjoying good spell with Leverkusen after joining Xabi Alonso’s team from Union St. Gilloise during summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old has 10 goals and six assists for Bayer Leverkusen across all competitions this season, and Real Madrid are reportedly monitoring his progress.

The Nigerian striker is confident that choosing Die Werkself remains the perfect club for him.

“Bayer Leverkusen are the perfect club for me because they develop young players like me,” he said in a special TV documentary highlighting his rise in Germany.

Boniface has won two Rookie and player of the month awards in Germany this season.

He shared last season’s UEFA Europa League top scorer award with Manchester United’s Marcos Rashford.
