Victor Boniface had an exceptional performance as Bayer Leverkusen recorded a resounding 3-0 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday.

Boniface contributed two goals in their Bundesliga match on Saturday, his first came in the 18th minute.

The Nigerian headed home the opening goal from Alejandro Grimaldo’s pinpoint cross.

Shortly before the end of the first half, Jonathan Tah extended Leverkusen’s lead with a goal, adding to the team’s dominance.

Boniface then added the third, his second in the 53rd minute, with a skillful finish after receiving a superb pass from Florian Writz.

The 22 year-old was substituted two minutes before the end of the match, making way for Gustavo Puerta.

His performance undoubtedly played a vital role in Leverkusen’s convincing win.

The summer arrival from Union Saint-Gilloise now has two goals and an assist in two league outing for Xabi Alonso’s side.​

This victory improved Bayer Leverkusen’s position in the Bundesliga standings.
