The 2021 U17 African Cup of Nations billed to hold in Morocco has been canceled.
The decision to cancel the tournament was confirmed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on their website Monday evening.
The African football governing body decided to cancel the competition due to the pandemic on the continent, after the meeting of CAF’s Emergency Committee yesterday (Monday) in Rabat.
The Emergency committee also took into consideration several European clubs won’t release their players to participate in this competition as a result of the pandemic.
The U17 Africa Nations Cup, was to initially scheduled to hold between 13 to 30 March.
