CAF Confederation Cup group phase ticket non negotiable — Ilechukwu

Head Coach of Plateau United, Fidelis Ilechukwu is confident his team is good enough to qualify for the CAF Confederations Cup group stage.

Recall, Plateau United dropped down to the CAF Confederation Cup, controversially, after a defeat to Esperance last month.

They will now slug it out against Al-Akhdar for a place in group stage of the Confederation Cup.

The first leg of the playoff is scheduled for Wednesday, at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja.

“We know the importance of this game and we also understand the reason why we did not make it to the group stage of the CAF Champions League.

“It was very painful, but we have put that behind us to enable us to face the future which is this game,” Ilechukwu said.

Meantime, Plateau United’s opponents in Wednesday’s CAF Confederation Cup playoff, Al-Akhdar are already in town ahead of the match.
