Calvin Bassey shows class in Ajax and Feyenoord Top-of-table Clash

Calvin Bassey was involved in the Eredivisie, top-of-the-table clash between Ajax and Feyenoord this Sunday.

The Nigerian played from start to finish as John Heitinga’s side narrowly lost 2-3 to the League leaders at the Johan Cruyff Arena.

Bassey paired Juriel Timber in the heart of the defense and barely put a foot wrong.

The 23-year old completed 48 passes, made two interception and committed just one foul.

He has now played 23 of Ajax’s 26 league games this season and has one goal, with three assists.

Meanwhile the defeat was the third for Ajax this season, and it leaves them six points adrift the leaders.
