Everton are close to signing Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori on a season-long loan.
The Toffees who have been active in the market are in advance talk with Chelsea to take the 21-year-old on a season long.
Tomori was on the verge of joining French side Rennes but Everton highjacked the deal after failing to sign Gabriel Magalhaes who joined Arsenal from Lille in a £27m deal.
Tomori who made his Premier League debut for Chelsea’s last season started the season like house on fire, however a deep in form saw him dropped behind Kurt Zouma and Antonio Rudiger.
Tomori did not play a single minute after the season was resumed in June, and the arrival of Thiago Silva means he will need a miracle to see his fortune improved at the club.
Tomori who still has a five years contract with Chelsea returned to the club last season after a successful loan spell at Derby County where he emerged as the club’s player of the year, he also had a brief stint with Hull City.
