Nigerian striker, Chinwendu Ihezuo delivered a masterclass performance, scoring a hat-trick to lead Pachuca to a 4-1 victory over Monterrey in the second leg of the Liga MX Femenil Clausura Playoffs semifinal.

Ihezuo Shines Against Former Side

Facing her former club, Ihezuo showed no mercy. She opened the scoring in the 31st minute, before Christina Burkenroad leveled for Monterrey in the 39th minute.

But Pachuca regained control just before the break through Kenti Robles, who struck in the 44th minute to give the hosts a 2-1 halftime lead.

Second-Half Brilliance Secures Final Spot

Ihezuo returned in the second half to dominate proceedings, netting her second goal in the 62nd minute, then completing her hat-trick just eight minutes later in the 70th minute, making it 4-1 on the night and 4-2 on aggregate.

She was substituted in the 77th minute for Nina Nicosia, capping a sensational outing in which she was deservedly named Player of the Match.

The treble took her tally to 15 goals in 37 appearances for Pachuca this season.

Final Showdown Set: Pachuca vs Club América

With the victory, Pachuca advances to the two-legged final where they will face Chidinma Okeke’s Club América — guaranteeing that a Nigerian international will lift the Clausura title.
