Nigerian forward Samuel Chukwueze guided Villareal to a sweet victory over Lech Poznan in Thursday’s UEFA Conference League.
The Nigerian international scored one and assisted another to help Unai Emery’s side win the thrilling contest.
The left winger got his goal in the 32nd minute after connecting with a cross from Mojica to volley home the equalizer.
Chukwueze however turned provider five minutes later when he Alex Baena for Villarreal’s third goal of the evening.
In addition, the winger had 42 touches in the game and created three scoring opportunities, completed 4 of 9 dribbles attempted, and was 100% accurate with his long balls.
Chukwueze lasted for 80th minutes on the pitch as he was replaced by Yeremy Pino.
Chukwueze will be aiming to continue his fine form when Villarreal takes on Real Betis at the weekend, who are somewhat depleted after their own exertions in the Europa League.
