Coach Lionel Soccoia quits Kano Pillars after four months

Emmanuel Lionel Soccoia has reportedly left his position as the head coach of NPFL giants Kano Pillars.

Soccoia left his role as head Coach of the four times Nigerian League champions due to interference and unpaid salaries & allowances, according to Club sources.

The Frenchman joined Pillars last October on a twelve and half months deal, he left the team in fifth place in the current campaign of the NPFL table.

However, Soccoia failed to help the side reach the CAF Confederation Cup; losing out in the early qualification rounds.

The club has promoted assistant Coach, Ibrahim Musa to the head coach role he once held, but will do so now on interim basis and he’ll be assisted by Ahmed Garba Yaro Yaro.
