Flying Eagles head coach, Aliyu Zubairu has unveiled a 24-man squad for the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, set to take place in Egypt.
Coach Zubairu, has selected a blend of home-based talents and Europe-based prospects, including Emmanuel Chukwu of German Bundesliga side Hoffenheim and Kparobo Nathaniel Arierhi of Norwegian club Lillestrom SK.
The seven-time African champions will depart for Egypt on Sunday.
Meanwhile in Egypt, the Flying Eagles are expected to play a couple of friendly matches ahead of their Group B opener against Tunisia.
Zubairu and his team will kick off their campaign against the young Carthage Eagles on Thursday, May 1st.
Three days later, they’ll face Morocco in their second group match before wrapping up their group stage campaign against Kenya on Wednesday, May 7th.
All semi-finalists from the competition will qualify for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will be held in Chile from September 27 to October 19.
