Dessers Sets Audacious Season-ending Target

Cyriel Dessers says he’s getting back to his best after an important brace for Rangers against Ross County on Wednesday.

The double earned Rangers 3-1 victory over their visitors at Ibrox as the Gers moved leveled on point with leaders Celtic.

Dessers, who also took his tally for the season to 14 goals, told RangersTV at full-time that: “I am in a good place right now and I want to stay there.

“I am coming into a lot of good positions to score, there are a lot of chances, and it is all about efficiency.

“If we can get the efficiency up, or I can get it up even more then I can provide a lot of goals for the team for the rest of the season so I think it is a nice goal and we will get there.”

Rangers dominated their opponents at Ibrox, but managed to score three of their 23 attempts at goal.

Dessers says the squad must be happy with the three points, He continued:

“It was an important three points because there was a lot of talking before the game, so I am happy we got it here at home. It was a good win, it could’ve been more but we have to be happy with the three points.

“I think we started really well and then out of nothing they made it 1-1 and that took us off a little, but I think after a few minutes we got back into our game and luckily, we could score right before half time, that was an important moment, and we had a lot of chances.”
