The defeat is Lobi Stars’ first defeat of the season in the NPFL this season.
In Ibadan, Shooting Stars came from behind to defeat Doma United 3-1, with goals from Gbolagade Adelowo, Ademola Ayinde, and a late strike from Gideon Monday in the 93rd minute at Lekan Salami Stadium.
Katsina United also staged two comebacks to beat Sunshine Stars 3-2, with Michael Ibe leveling the score at 1-1 in the 45th minute, before Bello Lukman won it for his side with late volley.
In Yenagoa, Bayelsa United secured a 2-1 win over Kwara United, with Robert Mizo scoring both goals. Mizo’s impressive form continued, as he netted a brace.
Finally, in Lagos, Sporting Lagos earned a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Niger Tornadoes, with Jonathan Alukwu and Junior Lokosa finding the back of the net to give them a 2-0 lead at halftime.
The visitors pulled one back in the second and had another goal wrongly ruled out for offside.
