As the 2023 FIBA Pre-Olympic Qualifying Tournament approaches, the players invited to the D’Tigers camp have convened at the team’s training camp in Lagos, signaling the commencement of their preparations.

Last weekend, the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) extended invitations to 15 players, with Chimezie Metu headlining the roster.

The players are set to represent Nigeria in the upcoming Olympic pre-qualifying tournament.

Recent updates from the team’s camp confirm that all the invited players are in camp and have already begun their training sessions under the guidance of Coach Odaudu.

The tournament will see Senegal, Mali, Uganda, Congo Democratic Republic, Cameroon, Guinea, Tunisia, and the host nation Nigeria, competing for the opportunity to represent the continent at the upcoming Olympic Games.

The qualifier is scheduled from August 12 to August 20.
