Coach of Nigeria’s U17 national team Manu Garba has hailed players of the national U17 team following Wednesday’s 1-0 victory over Angola which edged the team closer to a place at the 2019 FIFA U17 world cup in Brazil.

He added that up next for them is to look forward to playing at the semi-final of the competition so as to pursue the second ambition of fighting for the trophy to emerge as Africa champion.
“I must thank God almighty for giving us two consecutive wins, of course, that’s our first objective in the championship, now it is left for us to look up to play at the semi-final so that we can get to the final.
“So I give God the glory and despite a lot of unpardonable misses from the players, I must say I am grateful to them. We will do all to address some mistakes from the players.”
Nigeria sits top of the group A table after back to back wins over host Tanzania and Angola and will finish as group winner with a point in the last group game against Uganda.
