Coach of Sudanese Premier League side Al hilal Alfascher Nigerian Azeez Mohammed has stated that the league triumph recorded by former Nigeria international Ndubisi Egbo who has just led his FK Tirana side to the Albania league title is a big feat and one for Nigerian coaches especially those who are working outside the shores of Nigeria.
Mohammed speaking in a chat with brila.net said the achievement is not one to be overlooked considering the enormity of the challenge to be trusted with the job of a team’s head coach outside the country and in this case as a black man winning the Albania league and reaching a milestone to lead the team to a place in next year’s UEFA champions league.
“I will tell from experience that it’s never easy, it’s not easy to be a coach out of your country. To play is not as difficult as being a coach because every country prefer to give the first chance of coaching to their citizens before they give a foreign coach so for you to break into any country to be a coach and to even be able to win something is not an easy feat. A coach like Ndubusi Egbo has shown how good Nigerians are.”
