The last Nigeria Professional Football League game before the halfway mark of the 2021/2022 season takes place at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium on Sunday as Rivers United host Akwa United.
The Pride of Rivers have enjoyed some of the best forms this season as they currently top the NPFL log with 39 points and will be banking on this consistency to finish as leaders going into the mid-season break.
It has been a mixed season for the Promised keepers as they currently occupy the 6th position on the log with 27 points, 12 points behind their host Rivers United.
