Eguma has no problem with Rivers United’s scrappy win against Dakkada

Coach Stanley Eguma says Rivers United is struggling with fatigue, despite beating Dakkada FC in NPFL match day 9 fixture in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.

The Pride of Rivers were far away from their attacking best, but they managed to secure a 2-1 victory over their visitors.

Rave of the moment Isaq Kayode scored inside the opening two minutes to put River United ahead, but Emmanuel Ayaosi restored parity for the visitors few minutes later.

Ishaq secured the maximum points for Rivers United when he netted a 61st minute penalty for his 9th goal of the season.

And Speaking after the tough clash, Eguma was full of praises for their opponents for tremendous performance.

The experience manager stressed further ,that his team struggled to play to their normal standard, due to fatigue, but he’s glad they managed to get the game over the line .

“It was a good game, 3 points in the bag. I also commend our opponent. They also played good football. The tried to create an upset today but our players lived up to expectation.

“Actually it was a difficult game, a little of fatigue on my team and it affected our goal rush early in the game. So I commend their efforts.” He said.

Rivers United now moved two points clear off top of the table rivals Remo Stars who managed a goalless draw against Kano Pillars.
