Super Eagles captain, Mikel Obi took to social media on Saturday to inspire young boys and girls, with big dreams, to set their aims high and work towards their aspirations.
The former Chelsea midfielder, who won many laurels with the Blues including the UCL and UEL, tweeted in celebration of the International Youth Day.
In his rise to prominence, Mikel was named Chelsea Young Player of the Year in 2007 and 2008.
A year prior his first individual honor at Chelsea, he was Africa’s best Young player; back to back.
His journey being one of many achievements, Mikel though, understands the need for hard work.
Thus on International Youth Day, the 31 year-old shared an abridged story of his journey in a 15-word message with a picture of the 19 year-old version of himself holding up his Chelsea shirt.
He tweeted: It’s International #YouthDay! Remember, work hard and your dreams can come true… trust me! @UN4Youth
