Nigerian long jump sensation Ese Brume and 400m athlete Nicholas Okoye will compete at the ongoing National Sports Festival in Edo State.
The top stars will lead other top foreign-based athletes to compete at the games in order to win honor for their respective states and also gear up preparations for Tokyo Olympics.
Other foreign athletes expected to compete for honors at the games, include Chidi Anthony Okezie and Orukpe Eraiyokan 400m, and Egwero Ogho-Ogene.
Chidi Anthony Okezie will compete for the 200m top crowns, while Orukpe Eraiyokan will run in the 400m dash and Egwero Ogho-Ogene will be vying for honours in the 100 & 200m events.
Meanwhile, the game was officially opening ceremony for the games was held on Tuesday.
The Executive Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, Deputy Gov. Mr. Philip Shaibu, Executive Governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa; Honorable Minister of Sport, Mr. Sunday Dare, and other Dignitaries attended the ceremony at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.
