After a successful loan spell in 2018, Ademola Lookman has left Everton to join RB Leipzig permanently. He’s just one of several young British players to have moved to the Bundesliga in recent days. Keep up to date here.
At the risk of repeating ourselves, today brings confirmation of another Premier League player moving to the Bundesliga, this time permanently.
Ademola Lookman, 21, has moved from Everton to RB Leipzig, where he enjoyed a productive loan spell at the back end of the 2017-18 season.
The wide forward has long been courted by the German club and, after struggling to break into the Premier League side’s first team, makes the permanent move to Julian Nagelsmann’s side.
“I’m very happy to be back here and would like to pick up where I left off in the first half of 2018,” Lookman said. “I’m looking forward to seeing my new teammates again of course and want to help the team celebrate even more success.”
Leipzig’s sporting director Markus Krösche is excited to have Looman back. “Ademola convinced us immensely during his time on loan here and will now quickly re-integrate and further enhance our attacking play with his dynamic ability.”
